So this is the infamous piece I've been talking about, finally uploaded as a decent image. It's too big to scan, that's why it took so long. D;

The original assignment was to draw a self-portrait but with tribal accessories, i.e. African tribes. I've done that assignment before (and hated it) so my teacher let me choose otherwise. As you can see, I chose kind of a...mechanical...theme. >_> Not quite steampunk though. Darn it.

It's technically not even done. Yeah, notice all that white space? Despite that, I entered it in this thing called the Morro Bay Art Association Scholarship Awards. I think that's what it's called anyway. >>; But yeah, I entered it and it got the Herb Kaiser award. It's a special award, but being...well, being me, I was worried that it was like an Honorable Mention. It cashed it for $200 though, so that's where the tablet evidently came from.

I plan to flesh out the background on the left side some more after I get some more time.
